A machine in the baggage-reclaim hall dispenses a free 80-minute public-transport ticket covering Zone 10 train, tram and bus, which makes the SBB train to Genève-Cornavin, roughly 6 to 7 minutes, effectively cost nothing. A metered taxi into the centre realistically totals around CHF 35 to 50, edging toward CHF 60 with luggage or heavy traffic. By car the run is about 10 minutes off-peak but 15 to 20 at rush hour along the A1 autoroute onto Route de Meyrin. Note the free ticket must be collected before you leave arrivals and late-night train frequency drops sharply. Onward Alpine runs such as Chamonix via the A40 take around 75 minutes; a private VIP fare is agreed in advance whatever the traffic.
