By road the centre is only about 12 km, so reckon 20–25 minutes off-peak on the A-2 but 40 minutes or more in rush hour. Note that Terminal 4 sits several kilometres from T1–T3 with its own stations, and after 23:30 the express bus starts from Cibeles rather than Atocha; a private VIP fare is agreed in advance whatever the traffic.
